I’m pretty obsessive about having a tidy and organized fridge. As someone who cooks from scratch multiple times a day, I rely on my food being organized and easy to access! I want to share my best tips and favourite products to organize your fridge.
STEPS TO ORGANIZE YOUR FRIDGE
- Take Everything Out! I always start organizing by taking everything out of the fridge. Take this time to get rid of any expired foods!
- Wipe down Surfaces. I use a non-toxic cleaning spray to clean my entire fridge!
- Plan out the storage organization you’ll need. Make sure to measure the space to ensure it will fit!
- Reorganize items by type and sort into containers!
I wrote a post about how to declutter and organize your entire kitchen!

I don’t believe you need to drop a huge amount of money at the container store to organize your fridge. But 3-5 organization pieces will really go a long way while you organize your fridge and keep it tidy!
LAZY SUSAN
I LOVE having a Lazy Susan in my fridge to keep sauces and condiments organized. Especially because in my side-by-side style fridge things tend to get shoved to the back! This keeps everything easily accessible and organized!

FRIDGE STORAGE BINS
Having a few containers for different food categories is really helpful! Maybe you want to keep all your sparkling waters together, or have a bin of snacks your kids can grab themselves!
I like to keep all my extra seeds & nuts in one container (Refrigerating them helps them keep longer). And then I have another container full of condiments and sauces we don’t use on a daily basis that aren’t on the lazy susan!

LEFTOVER STORAGE
I find it helpful to have any leftovers in see-through glass containers! This way I can easily see what I have, and they are stackable.
Mason jars are also a great way to store food. Plus they fit nicely in the door of your fridge!

ADDITIONAL FRIDGE ORGANIZATION
If you’re still having a hard time keeping your fridge organized, or maybe you just need MORE space you might find additional storage units helpful!
I love these drawers that just slide right onto your fridge shelves! Or extra shelving to eliminate wasted space.
