This past year I made a comittment to switching to natural, non-toxic makeup and more sustainable makeup brands. It’s been a journey and there’s been a lot of trial and error as I’ve tested different brands and products!
Of course, everyone has different skin types & colours, as well as different makeup preferences! What works for one person isn’t going to work for another person.
I wanted to share the products and brands that I have found and truly love!
Disclaimer: A few of these products were gifted to me, but most I purchased with my own money. All opinions are my own. As always, I may earn a small commission on the links you shop through my blog. Thank you for supporting me in this way!
W3LL PEOPLE is one of the top rated brands on EWG. They have so many high quality products, and can be purchased on Amazon or at Target. My favourite products are their bronzer, eye liner, lip gloss, and concealer stick.
CLOVE AND HALLOW
Clove & Hallow is an affordable, non-toxic makeup brand. I’ve loved every one of their products that I’ve tried! Their concealer is my favourite I’ve ever tried! I also love their powder foundation and these vegan lip glosses!
100% PURE is another one of the top rated brands on EWG. I find the products more pricey, but they last forever and are extremely high quality. I’ve been using and loving their mascara for a few months and have been very happy with it! A few I’m hoping to invest in soon are this beautiful eyeshadow palette, and this amazing smelling eye cream!
Cocokind is more of a skincare brand, but they do carry a few non-toxic makeup products! I absolutely love their affordable highlighter stick which can be used as eyeshadow, and highlighter. I’ve also been known to rave about their matcha moisture stick for dry skin or lips, and their Turmeric Spot Treatment for any problem spots!
NUDE BY NATURE
I recently learned of this Australian brand. If you live in Canada, you can find it at Shoppers Drugmart which I was very excited about! It’s so much easier to match your foundation when you can sample them in the drugstore! I have been using and loving their liquid foundation.
I have been dying to try Crunchi makeup, but at this point they don’t ship to Canada. I have heard so many good things about their primer, and foundation. If you’re looking for a high coverage foundation, this is a winner!
Elate cosmetics is one of my favourite sustainable, non-toxic makeup brands! I love how they make every effort to make their products as low-waste as possible with these refillable compacts!
I recently tried Beauty Counter’s Flawless in Five set and LOVED all the products. It comes with a non-toxic foundation, concealer, blush, eyebrow pencil/gel, mascara, and lip gloss.
I’m not a Beauty Counter rep, but highly recommend this collection!
