It’s time for my November 2020 blogging income report! I’ve come to love writing these and reflecting on the previous month!

My blog was really consistent this month which is great!
But first –
WHY THE HECK AM I SHARING MY INCOME WITH STRANGERS ON THE INTERNET?
For years I had convinced myself that the bloggers I loved to follow who were making a full-time income blogging just got started at the right time, and it’s too late now to actually make an income blogging.
Then I came across income reports where bloggers will share this personal information to encourage others. After reading dozens and dozens (more like hundreds) of these posts about how to make a full-time income blogging I became convinced that the internet isn’t saturated and blogging is NOT dead.

I also want to create these for myself. To remember how exciting it felt to finally be making money after months & months of hard work and to look back on in the future!

HOW AM I REPORTING THIS INCOME?
If you’re new to the blogging world you may not know that most advertising and affiliate programs take 30-90 days to pay you. That means the money you make in April might not actually hit your bank account until June or July.
To simplify, I will reporting my statistics for the most recent month – November 2020 regardless of when this money actually hits my bank account.
November 2020 BLOG STATS
Ok – here are the details you came here for in my November 2020 blogging income report! I like to share my stats to put things into perspective, and as a way to record this for myself.
Blog Pageviews : 48,997 – My blogviews were actually down quite a bit. I think this is mainly due to the US election which was a huge distraction to most people for 7-10 days at the beginning of November. But you’ll see how numbers don’t mean everything!
Email Subscribers : 1938 – This has been steadily growing for months which is exciting! It’s INSANE to me that nearly 2000 people have given me their email addresses!
Pinterest Followers : 6077 – My Pinterest is also steadily growing every single month!!
Youtube Subscribers : 2993 – I was so hoping this would reach 3k this month, but it’s SOOO close.
October 2020 INCOME REPORT – BLOG REVENUE
Mediavine: $1264.49 – These earnings are higher than October 2020, even though my traffic is way lower!! I was hoping for a little bit higher this month, but this is still a huge achievement!
Youtube Ads: $55.19 – Again, I was surprised to see this revenue so high since I only published one video!
Amazon Affiliate: $155.86 – This is only a little bit lower than October making it my second highest month ever!
ShopStyle: $462.42 – Ok, this is WAY higher than any other month and so encouraging!! Affiliate posts are a lot of work, so I’m glad to see them paying off!
Gumroad (my ebook): $425 – I actually thought this was MUCH lower since it’s slowed down a lot in the past few weeks. I’m hoping to keep this income going in the next few months.
Collaboration: $50 – I did one paid brand collaboration this month
Total = $2412.96 USD
WOW, I honestly expected my earnings to be down in November since my traffic has been down. But it’s up by $4! hahaha. This is still SO exciting since this is more than I made at a “real” office job working 9-5.
* All of my earnings are in USD. I’m Canadian so when they get transferred into my bank account they will actually be significantly higher! But I’m reporting them as they are shown in USD. This is also all before taxes or other business expenses. *
WHERE DID I FOCUS MY TIME IN NOVEMBER?
To be honest, I didn’t feel super focused this month. I still did what I needed to do but I wasn’t overly motivated or inspired to do anything extra.
- I posted 8 blog posts which achieved my goal of 2x per week!
- I did a lotttt of Christmas content, gift guides, etc.
- I continued my regular pinning routine.
MY NOVEMBER GOALS- REFLECTION
I always like to set goals and then reflect on them at the end of the month. I think this is important if you’re trying to make a full-time income blogging!
- Make $3000 in revenue ✅ (It’s over $3000 Canadian, so I guess that counts? LOL)
- Hit 100k pageviews – NOPE
- Post 2 blog posts per week ✅
- Post 1 youtube video ✅
- Send out 1 email to email subscribers ✅
MY DECEMBER GOALS
- Make $3000 USD in revenue
