TORY’S CURRENT FAVES

I always love reading through some of the every day items that people are loving. None of these are groundbreaking, but they’re products that are tried + true, and used most days in my home!

BIBLICALLY BASED MOTHERHOOD

These are some books I’ve been loving lately. I like to have a book like this that I can read a few pages a day. Basically anything by Sally Clarkson is lovely + encouraging. And I absolutely love this Bible that I got for Christmas !

HOMESTEADING RESOURCES

One of the questions I get asked the most often is, “what are my favourite homesteading books”. If you’re like me, you value having these resources in paper format so that you don’t need to rely on the internet/spend extra time looking at a screen! These are my all-time favourite resources, plus one that’s on my own Wishlist!

NON-TOXIC MAKEUP FAVES

Non-tox makeup is a NON-NEGOTIABLE for me! Our skin is our largest organ, so anything we put on our skin is being absorbed into our bodies. Plus, with a toddler who likes to be right next to me/on top of me most of the day – it’s extra important that what I’m using is safe for us both!

The best foundation!! I’ve tried a LOT of non-toxic foundations, and this one is by far my favourite. It has buildable coverage but looks just like my real skin, and lasts all day. I wear colour Oyster (currently in May). Use code tory10 for 10% off!

Favourite mascara: I’ve also tried a tonnnn of non-toxic mascaras and have hated most of them. While pricey, this is easily the best I’ve tried. Pro tip: get the travel size, because I find the big one dries out before you are able to finish it.

Semi-permanent lashes: I’ve been using these eyelash extensions for over a year now! You apply them yourself and they last me around 5-7 days! This is a much more affordable option to actual lash extensions, and are one of my favourite “mom hacks” for looking more put together. They’re a Canadian company, but here’s a similar US company that I’ve also used and love! (use this link for 15% off!)

SOME DAILY FAVES

My Diaper bag! I’ve been using this diaper bag since before my son was even born, so almost two years now! I absolutely love it – it’s cute, fits tons! has lots of storage, and different carrying options. Mine is still in almost perfect condition after nearly daily use for two years.

Pranamat: I’ve been trying to be really consistent with my Pranamat, and LOVE how it makes me feel. On a hard mom day, I find it brings my stress levels wayyyyy down almost immediately. Is also helps to alleviate back and neck pain that I get from carrying a toddler all day! Use this link for 10% off!

Heatless curls: I’ve been doing heatless curls for several months and I’ll never go back to using heat daily!!! It takes me literally under 2 minutes to have beautiful curls for the day! I’ve been using this device and have no complaints! It’s easy to do and not uncomfortable to sleep in 🙂

KITCHEN ITEMS I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT

ProOne Filter: We’ve been using this water filter for 3 years, and would never want to be without it! It filters chlorine, chloramine, fluoride, lead, glyphosate, pharmaceutical residues and tons of other nasty chemicals found in tap water! We have the “Big” Gravity filter for our family of 3.

Toaster oven/air fryer/combo: This might be my favourite kitchen gadget EVER! I’m actually not a big gadget person at all, and don’t know if this qualifies. But we use this daily.- to toast, heat up leftovers, and even to cook dinner. It has settings to air fry, dehydrate, and more!

Caraway bakeware: I’ve been LOVING my caraway bakeware set. It has a non-toxic ceramic coating, and the quality has blown me away! Plus the green colour is so beautiful!!! (Use my link for 10% off!)

Lodge Cast Iron: I’ve been using lodge cast iron for yearssss now, and don’t use anything else anymore! I have a 10inch skillet, and a dutch oven (would also love a 12inch skillet!). They both get used daily!

APRONS

Ok, by FAR my most asked question on Instagram is “where are your aprons from”. Seriously, I get asked every single day. And unfortunately the answer is that I made them from thrifted fabric. Soooo, they’re one of a kind. But I’ve rounded up a few aprons that are similar styles to the ones I wear!

I loveeee that embroidered one and I think I need to make one like that for myself!

And that’s it! These are mostly basic things that I use every single day. I’m always happy to share links if there’s something you’ve seen in my home and want more info on – just send me a message on IG and it may make it into next month’s fave things post!
